PIMPLES; 5 TIPS TO AVOID BREAKOUT
Pimples breakouts are one of the most common facial disorders that happen to us more often than not.
These breakouts are formed by hormones that produce excess oil, leading to the clogging of hair follicles which leads to the growth of pimples also known as acne.
Though genes play a major role in the breakouts of pimples, however, there are a few unknown daily habits that may always cause us breakouts, especially when they keep reoccurring after treatments.
There are no sure ways to treat pimples as it is most times genetic, however, there are various methods that could reduce its severity.
Here are five quick tips to avoid pimple breakouts.
WASH YOUR FACE PROPERLY
first, wash your face
Dirt, oil, and grime accumulate on the face during the day, and when the face isn’t washed properly at night, the dirt is transferred to the pillowcases.
When the face is constantly exposed to the build-up of grease on the pillow, it begins to cause irritation, clogging the hair follicles and leading to an eventual breakout.
Washing your face especially before bedtime and pillowcases every other two days helps to keep your face oil-free and doesn’t give room to bread bacterias that clog your pores.
AVOID WEARING HEAVY MAKE UP
Make up is not a mask, most make up products contains a lot of oil, that clogs the pores and trigger break outs.
As much as possible, wear make-up sparingly and allow the face space to breathe and stay fresh by going make-up-free on days such as weekends.
Avoid the temptations of covering breakout spots with heavy make up, it’ll only cause more harm than good, causing irritations that can be avoided.
Ensure not to leave make up on your face for the whole day, especially greasy foundations.
Staying hydrated plays a major role in ensuring a clear skin.
Dehydration makes your skin appear dull, signaling the oil glands to produce excess oil which may lead to inflammation.
Ensure you drink at least 8 glasses of water a day, and more after exercising hat way your system is able to flush out toxins that may lead to breakouts when not flushed out.
Staying hydrated also enhances your complexion.
Keep calm and stay moisturized.
We more often than not expose ourselves to harsh weather conditions such as excess sunlight, which in turn leaves our skin dry.
This could lead to skin irritation, inflammation or pimple breakout .
Keeping your face moisturized helps it stay hydrated, and shields it from harsh weather conditions.
AVOID TOUCHING YOUR FACE
As tempting as it might be to pop that white head poking out the top of your chin, ignore and keep your hands away from your face.
Becoming a pimple popper only exposes your face to dark spots and blemishes, leaving you badly scarred.
